Quick: OOTD, NOTD and thanksgiving

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to do a quick post on  Thanksgiving day. I hope everyone had fun and ate tons of food. I had an awesome Thanksgiving this year. Usually my family don't really celebrate Thanksgiving, so we went out to a Chinese restaurant instead. However, My boyfriend's family invited me to their house for Thanksgiving dinner and that was super fun. After we waited until 3am to go shopping, we went to the mall, got some stuffs. Then we went to Bestbuy and it was so insane haha so many people were there. Then we went to Nordstrom Rack, I stayed up until 10am in the morning. Lol never again. haha

The Disney Bear, Duffy and shellie May.

What is Disney Bear???....O_0

Before I went to Japan, I had no idea about Disney bears, I had never even saw or heard of this. However, when I was in Tokyo Disneyland Resort, I saw every single Japanese person has Duffy and Shellie May. I thought It was so strange. Until I found out about the cute story behind it all.

If you don’t know Duffy , here’s a little info. He was hand-sewn by Minnie Mouse as a gift to Mickey. Duffy, dressed like a sailor, was designed to be Mickey’s companion during his travels. 

The Story:

"You see, awhile ago, Mickey was about to set sail on an adventure to visit friends around the world. Minnie made a special gift to keep Mickey company and she presented it to Mickey in a duffle bag. Mickey, delighted with his gift, pulled out the gift, a very special bear, and named him Duffy. Mickey and Duffy embarked on many special voyages and Duffy got to meet all of Mickey’s friends. Each time they returned home, Mickey and Duffy would share their stories and photos with Minnie. While on their travels, Duffy and Mickey landed at Tokyo Disney Sea, where they have been meeting and greeting fans for the past few years."

Duffy, the Disney Bear has become something of a fan phenomenon in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea theme parks. Duffy is not just your typical stuffed bear. He’s Mickey’s bear and he resembles his owner. Duffy’s face is shaped like Mickey’s, he has Mickey heads on his paws, and he has a very unique birthmark on his hip.

 Shellie May

Tokyo Disney recently unveiled a new friend for Duffy on January 22nd, 2010, a female teddy bear named "Shellie May." There are "Mickey marks" on her as well, just like Duffy.  Her "birthmark" on her backside is on the opposite side from Duffy's, but the paws, and face are very similar to his.  She also has beautiful blue eyes, and a bow on her head. They introduced her with a mini-storybook, but her story was very basic.

The story:
Minnie makes a friend for Duffy.
She finishes sewing her.
Minnie presents the new friend to Duffy.
He's embarrassed about taking the gift that this new friend is holding, a box of chocolates.
Standing in front of Duffy is a female bear wearing a charming heart-shaped shell pendant.
Duffy says "Nice to meet you, Shellie May". 

That's the story, very short. Anyways, hopefully they will come up with a better story for Shellie May soon. Honestly, I don't think Duffy is that cute in person. On the other hand, Shellie May, I love. (^_^) I think you can only get her in Tokyo Disney Sea. So if you are going to visit Tokyo Disneyland,  one of the souvenir you should get, should definitely be Duffy and Shellie May :]

Japan 2010 ( pics heavy)

Hello my loves,

So guys, as some of you may already know, I was in Japan from October 26th to November 2nd. But I'm Finally back Yay! My apology for taking so long to make a post about this. It's just you know, when you left to go somewhere for a while and after you came back, your life is a little bit hectic and I was trying to get back on with my normal routine again.

 Anyways, Japan is such an amazing place, I had the best time there, even though I only get to spent 5 days there. For the first 3 days, my family there took me to Tokyo Disney resort. The 4th day, we went shopping. The 5th day, we went to Nara park. 

Everything in Japan is so high tech, the toilets, the road, etc. Also, people drive on the left side of the road and everyone there is so polite, all you hear is thank you and excuse me all day long haha. When it comes down to shopping, well you better bring a lot of money with you, everything there is so Expensive. Other than that, Japan is a great place to visit.

I thought it was going to be warm in Japan around October and November, but i was wrong and didn't pack a lot of wintery coats. The family there bought me this coat, haha bright green i know. I still love it though, cause it's the thought that counts right?
